Dr. Angelica Cornacchio
Doctor of Dental Surgery
Kitchener Dentist, Dr. Angelica Cornacchio, is committed to providing top quality dental care in a welcoming and comfortable environment. She decided to become a dentist because she wanted to help people - she finds it extremely rewarding to see the immediate difference she can make in people’s lives by helping them eliminate pain and improve their smiles. Dr. Cornacchio enjoys getting to know her patients, and her excellent communication skills and friendly demeanor help her to work well with a wide range of patients. She works well with children, ensuring that their first experience at the dentist is a positive one.
Dr. Cornacchio’s gentle and patient nature helps her to anticipate and understand each individual’s unique comfort levels and pain tolerance, so that she can make sure every patient is as comfortable as possible during their treatments. She strives to make sure that her patients leave her office feeling relieved and that their appointment was easier than they had anticipated.
Dr. Cornacchio started as an associate dentist at River Family Dentistry in 2012, and is now the proud owner of the Kitchener dental practice. She received her undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Chemistry from the University of Western Ontario, and her doctorate in dental surgery from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. She has extensive experience in crown and bridge, molar endodontics, surgical and full mouth extractions. She performs all procedures wearing loups to ensure the highest quality of care. Dr. Cornacchio is a member of the Ontario Dental Association, the Waterloo Wellington Dental Society, and the Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Asifa Naureen
Dentist
Dr. Asifa Naureen has been working with River Family Dentistry team since June , 2019 and she loves it every day . She decided to become dentist after seeing her mom suffering from dental issues at very young age and it feels very rewarding when she helps her patients get their perfect smile and confidence back or simply get rid of the pain. She has extensive experience in general dentistry but loves wisdom teeth and complicated extractions. She is passionate for her profession and makes sure that her patients have a positive and comfortable dental experience and they leave with big smile. She loves meeting people, good listener, very gentle and friendly. She is very kind with children. She was awarded the Bachelor of Dental surgery Degree by University of Health Sciences , Pakistan in 2010 . She was honored with the Gold medal for extraordinary academics and clinical achievements by the Prime Minister of Pakistan in 2010.She had worked in a very busy hospital in Pakistan , also participated and volunteered with Colgate inc. to provide dental care in rural and unprivileged areas of Pakistan.
She was awarded the Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree with Distinction from The University of Western Ontario, Canada in 2018. She was on dean's list for all years and received Dr. Gerald Z. Wright Award from Western University for Highest Academic Standing and Dr. Kenneth F. Pownall Memorial Award & Scholarship from RCDSO for Highest Academic Standing.
She takes great pride in continue education to stay current with the technological advancements in dentistry to provide her valued patients with the most up to date dental care.
In her spare time, she is a BUSY MOM of 3 children and enjoys playing with them, trying new recipes and cycling. She used to watch reality TV shows but now only kid's shows play at home.
Dr. Nicole Rutledge

Born and raised here in Kitchener, Ontario, dentist Dr. Nicole Rutledge is proud to serve her own community at River Family Dentistry. Dr. Nicole is passionate about all aspects of general dentistry, with a special interest in helping patients achieve confident, healthy smiles through cosmetic enhancements such as veneers, crown and bridgework, full smile makeovers, and Invisalign® clear aligner treatment.
Dr. Nicole’s journey to dentistry began with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Biomedical Sciences at Queen’s University, where she graduated with Distinction and ranked in the top 3% of her class while holding a four-year full academic scholarship. She went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Melbourne, where she was named to the Dean’s Honour List and received the Bertha Bennet Prize and John Illife Scholarship Prize for the highest academic standing in her cohort. In recognition of her leadership and commitment to the profession, she was also awarded the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Academy Dental Student Scholarship.
Known for her warm and compassionate personality, Dr. Nicole takes pride in providing patient-centred care and maintaining a gentle chairside manner. She understands that visiting the dentist can sometimes be daunting, and her greatest professional satisfaction comes from helping an apprehensive patient feel completely at ease. By taking the time to truly listen, educate, and create personalized treatment plans, she ensures her patients feel empowered to make informed decisions about their oral health. Detail-oriented in her approach, Dr. Nicole strives to deliver an exceptional dental experience while upholding the highest standards of care. She is also committed to ongoing professional development and continuing education to stay current with the latest scientific and clinical advancements in dentistry.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Nicole enjoys travelling, cheering on her favourite sports teams, and spending time with family and friends. Having grown up locally, she is grateful for the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with her patients within the community she proudly calls home. Dr. Nicole would like to extend a sincere thank you to her patients, both past and future, for trusting her with their care!

Alysha graduated from Medix in 2016. She wanted to use her skills and knowledge that she has obtained to help others. In her spare time she has a passion for cooking. Alysha love to be on the waters fishing if it's the right time of year. She likes to take advantage of the summer time. She likes taking adventures on the motorcycle, hiking, finding new trails, and roller blading. Alysha likes to keep active and stay active. She enjoy weight lifting, plants and spending time with her family.

Registered Dental Hygienist
Emily graduated from Dental Assisting in 2018. Given her passion, she returned to school for Dental Hygiene and graduated in 2022 from Southern Ontario Dental College.
Building a strong rapport and educating patients about the benefits of maintaining good oral health is a priority for Emily. She is a native to the area and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Wendy is a highly dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist with approximately 15 years of experience in delivering exceptional preventive oral healthcare. She is committed to assisting patients in achieving and maintaining healthy, confident smiles through comprehensive education, compassionate care, and individualized treatment plans.
Over the past year, Wendy has been an esteemed member of the team at River Family Dentistry, where she has cultivated strong patient relationships by fostering a comfortable and welcoming environment while tailoring care to meet each individual’s needs. She firmly believes that patient education is essential to lifelong oral health and takes great satisfaction in equipping patients with the knowledge and tools necessary to maintain their oral well-being.
